Tell your Legislator not to balance the budget on the backs of New Mexico’s working families and small business owners, but to close the loopholes and rollback the tax breaks for the wealthiest and out-of-state corporations.

Wednesday, January 20, 2010, Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. National Education Association New Mexico – Legislative Training and Lobby Day - Get a refresher course on who, when, and how to lobby your elected legislators. Learn the basics of New Mexico’s tax structure and how it directly impacts our public school funding. Find out the intent and numbers of specific bills drafted and submitted which can either help or harm our public schools. Then go to the State Capitol and make your presence seen and your collective voices heard as you speak with those people you vote for and help elect.
